Summary
Sales Development Manager - The Timber Group (South East) - Work with great people. Grow great partnerships. Make great things happen.
We're a driven bunch, and that shows in everything we do.
We're always looking for ways to do things better than we did yesterday - because being the first choice for our customers and a great place to work for our team is what we're all about.
At The Timber Group, people matter. You're recognised, respected, and remembered - and in return, it's our people who earn the trust of customers, teammates and the communities we serve.
Our loyal customers stick with us because we build strong relationships. We listen, we deliver, and we go the extra mile to make sure they leave happy.
As a Sales Development Manager, you'll be part of a supportive and driven sales team. Your focus will be spotting new opportunities, growing sales in your region, and helping The Timber Group grow. If you love building relationships, thinking on your feet and making things happen - this could be the perfect fit.
What You'll be Doing:
- Growing business with our existing customers - making sure they're getting the best from us
- Reconnecting with dormant accounts - turning them into active trading partners
- Finding new business through your network, online leads, cold calls - whatever works!
- Delivering top-notch customer service - building strong, lasting relationships
- Promoting our full product range to help boost sales and margins
- Hitting your targets for turnover, profit, and new accounts - and celebrating the wins
We're happy to explore flexible working options. Feel free to chat with us about it during the interview. While we might not be able to meet every request, we'll always listen with an open mind - and there's no judgment in asking.
What You'll Bring:
We know there's more to you than what's on paper. Everyone brings something different to the table, and that's what makes our team work. We'll give you the training and support you need to hit the ground running as a Sales Development Manager. What we're really looking for is someone who's driven, upbeat, flexible, dependable, and ready to grow with us. If you've worked in a similar role or in the timber trade before, that's a bonus - but it's not a must.
What's in it for you:
- We believe great work should be recognised and rewarded. Here's what you can expect:
- A strong annual leave allowance, alongside your bank holidays
- Company bonus scheme, based on performance
- Contributory pension and life assurance
- Discounts on high street retailers, supermarkets, restaurants, gyms and cinemas
- Colleague discount across our group brands
- Attraction and travel discounts
- Training and development programmes to support your growth
- We offer on-the-job training and opportunities to work towards recognised qualifications, including apprenticeships.
At Huws Gray, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workforce makes us stronger, smarter and better at serving our customers.
We're proud to be an equal opportunities employer and we are committed to creating a respectful and inclusive workplace, whether you're based in one of our branches, on the road or in one of our offices.
If you need any adjustments to support you through the application or interview process, please let us know.
