Salaried GP

Saxon Cross Surgery is looking to recruit a forward-thinking, enthusiastic salaried GP to join our friendly team for 6-8 sessions per week on a permanent basis.

• We have a list size of 7,100 patients and are rated CQC outstanding
• Our team consists of salaried GPs, an ANP, nurses, HCAs and a GP assistant.
• Wider PCN support from pharmacists, mental health occupational therapist, first contact home visiting paramedic
• We are a training practice and host resident doctors in all years of their training
• We are a total triage practice using SystmConnect
• Rota in line with BMA standard of 25 patient contacts of 15 minutes each with appropriate admin time
• Dedicated CPD time and opportunity to develop areas of special interest

• 6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave pro rata
We welcome informal visits to meet the team and find out more about the practice.,
• In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
• Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
• Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety
• In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters. They do so in confidence and have the right to expect that staff will respect their privacy and act appropriately
  
  First Medical Degree either MB or MBBS, plus one foundation year as a Medical Practitioner
• GP Specialist training
• GMC registration
• Royal College of General Practitioners membership
• Experience as a GP
• Awareness of the duties of a doctor and good medical practice
• Experience of professional integrity and respect for others
