Salaried GP

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Salaried GP to join our healthcare team from April 2027 for 6 sessions per week. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population within a supportive and collaborative environment. The position is salaried, ensuring stability and a focus on quality patient care., Conduct thorough consultations, assessments, and examinations of patients across all age groups. Develop personalised treatment plans, including medication administration and follow-up care. Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory illnesses with an emphasis on patient education and self-management. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for specialised care including nursing staff, physiotherapists, and social workers. Engage in clinical research projects aimed at improving healthcare outcomes within the community. Provide support for patients in home care settings, ensuring compassionate and holistic treatment. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and organisational standards. Participate in health promotion activities, vaccination programmes, and public health initiatives., To provide high-quality, patient-centred medical care to the practice population, ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based management of acute and chronic health conditions while contributing to the continuous development of primary care services. Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face and telephone, consultations for patients.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
• Prescribe medication in accordance with national and local guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
• Manage acute and chronic disease presentations.
• Undertake home visits where appropriate.
• Refer patients to secondary care and other healthcare professionals as required.
• Interpret laboratory results, imaging reports, and correspondence.
• Participate in safeguarding procedures for children and vulnerable adults.
• Support health promotion and disease prevention initiatives
• Administrative Responsibilities
• Review and action pathology results, clinical correspondence, and medication requests.
• Complete medical reports, insurance forms, and other documentation as required.
• Manage clinical workflow and patient follow-up in a timely manner.
• Ensure clinical coding is accurate and up to date.
• Quality and Governance
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement activities.
• Support the achievement of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and enhanced service requirements.
• Contribute to significant event reviews and learning activities.
• Maintain compliance with GMC standards and professional appraisal requirements.
• Adhere to practice policies, NHS regulations, and information governance requirements.
• Team Working
• Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, and administrative staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Contribute to practice development and service improvement.
• Support training and supervision of students, trainees, and other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
  
  MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical qualification.
• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
• Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice or equivalent.
• Inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List.
• Evidence of continuing professional development., Experience in QOF and enhanced services delivery.
• Special clinical interests relevant to practice needs.
• Experience of training, mentoring, or supervision.
• Experience using EMIS Web, or similar clinical systems.
  
  North Leverton Surgery is situated at the heart of the village (close to the cross-roads on Sturton Road). It serves all the surrounding villages; the area covered stretching from the River Trent to Retford and Dunham to Saundby. We are in fact the most rural practice in North Nottinghamshire, but this does not mean medical isolation!
We strive to deliver up-to-date evidence based medical care, supported by centres of medical excellence at Sheffield and Nottingham if necessary. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, frailty reviews, travel & childhood vaccinations and NHS health checks.
