Hanham Health is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking clinical team based at Almondsbury & Pilning Surgeries.   • Deliver face-to-face and telephone consultations.
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred care across the full spectrum of General Practice.
  • Undertake home visits when clinically appropriate.
  • Process clinical correspondence and workflow efficiently.
  • Review, manage and authorise prescriptions and medication-related queries.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities.
  • Contribute towards achievement of QOF and other practice quality standards.

We are committed to delivering high-quality patient care whilst supporting staff wellbeing, professional development and flexible ways of working. We welcome applications from newly qualified GPs, experienced GPs, those returning to practice and clinicians seeking a portfolio career. Main Duties of the Job The successful candidate will:
  • Deliver face-to-face and telephone consultations.
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred General Practice care.
  • Undertake home visits when clinically appropriate.
  • Manage clinical correspondence and workflow.

  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.

    MBBS, MBChB or equivalent primary medical qualification.
  • Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
  • Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List (or eligible for inclusion before commencement).
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice, CCT expected within 6 months of interview date, or equivalent route to GP registration (CEGPR)., MRCGP.
  • Additional qualifications relevant to primary care.
  • Evidence of specialist interests relevant to General Practice., Experience of working in General Practice or completion of GP Specialty Training.
  • Ability to manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
  • Understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, quality improvement and risk management.
  • Experience of using electronic patient record systems.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development., Experience of working within NHS primary care.
  • Experience using EMIS Web.
  • Experience of telephone consultations.
  • Experience of teaching, mentoring or supervising trainees or students.
  • Involvement in audit, quality improvement or service development projects.
  • Experience in an area of specialist clinical interest.
