Full Job Description

We are looking for a Salaried GP to join our friendly practice in Westhoughton for 6-7 sessions per week. Salary negotiable. 7,153 Patients Systm One computer system Partners willing and happy to provide support as necessaryMain duties of the job Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of medical services to patients registered with the practice. The post-holder will be responsible for providing support for the day-to-day provision of primary care services and involvement in the development of services to meet the needs of the practice population.About us We currently have 2 GP partners, 1 Salaried GP, 1 advanced nurse practitioner, 1 practice nurse, 1 Nursing associate 1 HCA and admin support. We also have extended staff that work across our network which include MSK, MH Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist, Visiting Clinician Social prescribers and Health improvement practitioners. We are a training practice currently hosting ST2, FY1 Doctors and trainee nurses Admin are trained to streamline volume of workflow passed onto GPs. Visiting Clinician has reduced the home visit requests for GPs. CQC rating Good Qof Achievement is Good Part of the westhoughton PCN which is Unsworth Group Practice and Stable Fold Surgery and we work well together., This post is to provide a full range of high quality primary care services in line with approved protocols and evidence based medicine to the population of practice. The post holder will work towards meeting the targets set out in the GMS contract and other nationally and locally agreed guidance. To provide a full range of medical services as defined in the GMS Contract by way of surgery, clinics and relevant administrative work (this list is not exhaustive), together with such other duties as required under the provisions of GMS Regulations applying to a GMS Performer. To respond to medical problems presented by patients including history taking, examination, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral where appropriate. Provide health promotion and preventative health care and advice where appropriate. To undertake domiciliary visits as appropriate. Duty doctor one day per week,All appointments for GPs and ANPs are booked through a triage system. The duty doctor will review all medical requests and assign them appropriately. Maintain patients clinical records. To provide medical reports for patients who may have consulted with the post holder, as required by other agencies to support the health and social care of patients registered with the practice. Attend primary health care team meetings and other meetings as may be necessary. Carry out all necessary clinically related administrative and non-clinical duties needed for the delivery of medical services.

  • Applicants will be expected to have clinical experience in general practice and be familiar with record keeping on a computerised clinical records system.
