We are a teaching practice, we use modern systems including Accurx, and we pride ourselves on high patient satisfaction and a strong local reputation., As a Salaried GP, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within the practice. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive general medical services to patients, including history taking, examination, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Conducting face-to-face & telephone consultations in line with practice protocols
  • Managing a varied clinical caseload, including home visits where appropriate
  • Prescribing safely and effectively in accordance with local and national guidelines
  • Undertaking clinical administration such as reviewing test results & hospital letters
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals
  • Supporting the practice in achieving quality standards, including QOF and Salford Standards.
  • Promoting health education, disease prevention, and self-management to patients
  • Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous clinical records in line with GMC and practice standards
  • Participating in practice meetings, clinical audits, and continuous professional development
  • Contributing to the training and supervision of medical students or trainees where applicable

    Salford Medical Centre & The Quays Practice are one of 10 practices that make up the Salford South East Primary Care Network. We are a long standing high achieving practice and at our last assessment were rated as Good by the CQC.
  • We work using the EMIS clinical system as well as using Footfall, Docman10, Ardens, Accurx, & Outlook. Our practice has seen a lot of change in the last 5 years due to the opening of our branch site. We have grown from being under 4000 patients to over 15,000 patients. The patient demographic at each of our sites is very different which provides variety in speaking to people from all walks of life as well as a different working environment and with different members of the team. Due to our practice expending our clinical & administration teams have grown and diversified. Our team is a mix of ages and backgrounds giving a wealth of knowledge & support for any new starters. Our clinical team consists of: 1 GP Partner, 9 Salaried GP's , 1 ANP, , 2 Practice nurses, 2 HCA's, 1 Phlebotomist as well as access to our PCN Pharmacists & MSK Practitioners Our clinical, nursing & administrative teams all work harmoniously together as they are all patient focused and driven towards providing the best care for our patients.
