Salaried Doctor - General Practice

Hyde Park surgery are looking for a GP to cover long term sickness for a period of six months working six sessions a week including an on call day, days of working Monday, Tuesday and Friday. We are a small, friendly team and are well rated by our patients. See our GP Patient Survey., Postholders will be expected to undertake a variety of duties including including face to face surgery consultations, telephone consultations and handling queries. We are a SystmOne practice. Home visits will be needed for our housebound patients. The checking and signing of repeat prescriptions, reviewing of clinical documentation and dealing with queries will also be part of the job.

Postholders will be expected to use generic prescribing and adhere to local and national guidelines. They will need to know how to effectively manage long term conditions. They are expected to process their referrals, prescriptions and other associated administrative tasks in a timely manner.

We are friendly practice made up of 7 GPs near to the University of Leeds, serving a young and ethnically diverse population of 11,000 patients. Our multidisciplinary team involves pharmacists physiotherapists, podiatrists, social prescribers and mental health workers. We are a teaching practice for medical students. We offer a full LARC service. We are able to offer supportive induction for newly qualified GPs if necessary.
