Full Job Description
As a Salad Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing, presenting and maintaining a fresh, high-quality salad bar while working alongside the Chef de Partie to deliver an excellent food offering. You will:
- Prepare and replenish fresh salads, fruits, vegetables and other cold food items to the highest standards.
- Ensure the salad bar is fully stocked, attractively presented and maintained throughout service.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and minimise food waste.
- Monitor food quality, freshness and stock levels, rotating products in line with food safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored correctly.
- Adhere to all Food Safety, HACCP, COSHH and Health & Safety procedures, reporting any issues or incidents promptly.
- Carry out daily temperature checks and complete all required food safety records accurately.
- Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues in line with company procedures.
- Support the wider kitchen team as required to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Provide friendly and helpful service to customers when required, with a good knowledge of the food offering.
