Full Job Description
The Safety and Learning Systems Officer provides specialist administrative support for the Trust's Safety and Learning Systems (currently Datix and MEG), ensuring the system is maintained, developed, and used effectively for risk management, incident reporting, and safety improvement. The post holder supports users, maintains data quality, delivers training, and assists with data analysis to inform local and national safety initiatives., Act as a point of contact for end users, Care Group Leads, and stakeholders for system queries and technical issues. Set up and control user accounts, ensuring access aligns with user roles and Trust policies.
Perform routine database administration tasks to maintain data quality and system functionality.
Provide support to assigned quality system module leads to ensure the effective maintenance and continuous improvement of the system related to their subject matter processes and standards
Fulfil requests for data changes, ensuring consistency and compliance with policies.
Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy at all times.
Training & Documentation
Provide training to new and existing users to promote effective system use.
Develop and maintain user guides, support documentation, and update communications.
Update and maintain the Safety and Learning Systems intranet portal.
Data Quality and Analysis
Coordinate review of records to ensure data consistency with local policy and external reporting requirements.
Undertake data analysis and present findings to support safety and performance improvement initiatives. Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports.
