Safeguarding Panel Chair

We are now seeking an independent Safeguarding Panel Chair to play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our strategy., The Safeguarding Panel is a key part of Dimensions' governance framework. It provides oversight of safeguarding practice across the Group, scrutinises performance, identifies emerging risks and ensures that safeguarding responsibilities remain embedded in every aspect of organisational life. As Chair, you will provide independent leadership, constructive challenge and strategic oversight. You will lead the Panel in holding the organisation to account for the effectiveness of its safeguarding arrangements and in providing assurance to the Group Board, subsidiary Boards and Quality & Practice Committee that safeguarding systems, culture and practice are robust, person-centred and effective. This is not simply a governance role. It is an opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, champion learning and improvement, and help ensure the people we support remain at the heart of everything we do. Occasional visits and engagement with people we support and colleagues will form an important part of the role. The person we're looking for We are looking for someone with substantial safeguarding expertise at a senior operational, strategic or governance level, ideally gained within social care, health or another highly regulated environment.

• Time commitment: Approximately 12-15 days per year

• Remuneration: £6,000 per annum plus reasonable expenses
