Full Job Description
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional who is passionate about supporting young people and ensuring that every student feels safe, valued and able to thrive. Working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Deputy DSLs, pastoral staff and external agencies, you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students.
Based in our exciting new school building, you will become part of a caring and ambitious community where student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in the effective management of safeguarding and child protection cases.
Manage referrals and liaise with Children's Social Care, Early Help, the Police and other external agencies.
Maintain accurate, confidential and timely safeguarding records using the school's safeguarding systems.
Monitor the wellbeing of vulnerable students and coordinate appropriate interventions.
Attend safeguarding meetings, strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings where appropriate.
Work closely with pastoral teams to ensure students receive the support they need.
Help promote a strong safeguarding culture across the school.
Contribute to safeguarding training and awareness for staff where appropriate.

Has experience of working within safeguarding, child protection or a related field.
Has a sound understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education and current safeguarding legislation.
Can manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Can build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues and external professionals.
Is resilient, calm under pressure and able to manage competing priorities.
