Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our Children's Services Directorate as the Safeguarding Children's Partnership Manager, reporting to the Executive Director for Children's Services. The Role As the Safeguarding Children's Partnership Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation and management of the West Berkshire Safeguarding Children's Partnership. You will be responsible for:
- Facilitating the work of the Partnership and ensuring effective collaboration between key agencies
- Coordinating the delivery of safeguarding activities and initiatives to protect children and young people
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of safeguarding arrangements
- Providing high-quality advice and support to the Partnership Board
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and relevant legislation In addition, you will work closely with other local partnerships, such as the Safer West Berkshire Partnership and the West Berkshire Health and Wellbeing Board, to promote the overall wellbeing and safety of children in our community., This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies. - Extensive knowledge and experience in safeguarding children's issues
- Strong understanding of the legislative framework and statutory requirements related to child protection
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and agency representatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- Ability to analyse complex information and provide clear recommendations
