Safeguarding Children Clinical Nurse specialist

The post holder will provide expert clinical leadership and highly specialist advice on all matters relating to the safeguarding of children and young people across the Trust. Working as part of the children safeguarding team to ensure that all staff understand and meet their responsibility in relation to safeguarding the welfare of children in line with local and national guidance.
Working closely with the Named Nurse team, you will ensure the organisation fulfils its statutory requirements as defined by Working Together (2023) and the RCN Intercollegiate Document.
Based primarily at Northwick Park Hospital, you will join a forward-thinking team committed to the "Think Family" model and Transitional / Contextual Safeguarding, ensuring a child-centred and every contact counts approach is embedded across all Trust services., We are looking for a dynamic, motivated individual with substantial safeguarding expertise to join our proactive Integrated Safeguarding Children Team at LNWH.
This role involves ensuring robust safeguarding policies and information sharing is completed by working collaboratively with the Safeguarding Children team, Named nurses and doctors and multi agency partners to ensure the Trust meets its Safeguarding Children responsibilities and effectively Safeguarding children.
The post holder will be expected to provide highly specialist advice and clinical support to all healthcare staff in the organisation and to take a leading role in facilitating training and supervision in line with guidelines and legislation.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop their own knowledge and potential with support from our Integrated team., We promote the wellbeing and safety of all our patients and carers by acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately, according to the standards determined by our policy and procedures. All posts working with vulnerable groups will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check upon appointment and staff will need to give their consent for the Trust to receive regular updates on their criminal records status throughout their employment.
