Interview Date: 15th August 2025About the roleThe successful applicant will be working within a small friendly team, which is responsible for the monitoring of Section 106 legal agreements linked to planning permissions, and the administration of spending S106 contributions in accordance with the terms of these agreements. S106 is a crucial source of income for CBC to fund capital projects to mitigate the impact of housing development. The S106 Monitoring Officer is an important role, ensuring that contributions are collected from developers in a timely manner. As a team we work closely with Planning colleagues and other departments within the authority to support the delivery of S106 funded projects.The primary duties of this role include recording clauses of new S106 legal agreements in Acolaid and monitoring agreements until payment trigger points are met. The role involves calculating S106 contributions amounts, applying indexation and issuing invoices through SAP. You will need
strong communication skills as you will be liaising with S106 Spending Officers both internal and external to facilitate and administer the use of S106 funds to deliver capital projects.Attention to detail is essential to this role and the ability to interpret legal agreements, as well as being an effective team player. You must be self-motivated, good with numbers and have excellent organisation and IT skills.
