Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rural Surveyor (2+ years PQE) to join our Oxford Rural Estate Management team, working on a diverse and high-quality portfolio for both private landed estates and a major institutional client. This role offers the chance to take real responsibility from day one, with strong client exposure, varied work, and clear scope to broaden your experience across traditional estate management and emerging areas of the rural sector. You will be based from our Oxford (Botley) office, working closely with a highly experienced local team and drawing on the depth of the wider Savills national business. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of rural estates, acting as a trusted adviser to clients and helping to deliver both commercial performance and long-term strategic objectives. Your role will include:
- Managing a varied estate portfolio, delivering a high standard of client care and professional service.
- Reviewing and commenting on profit & loss accounts, and preparing annual budgets.
- Managing your own time and fee income effectively to deliver work to budget.
- Identifying and advising on grant funding and diversification opportunities.
- Preparing work specifications, appointing and managing contractors and professional advisers.
Our Savills Oxford team provides advice on all matters of rural property and we work with colleagues across the 8 other divisions in the office to ensure our clients receive the best service. Our clients range from farming landowners, private family estates, corporate ownership structures and local and national institutional clients. The team comprises 7 Directors, 5 Associate Directors, 8 Associates plus qualified agents, graduates and administrators. The wider Rural division operates across the UK, with a network of 37 offices and a number of estate offices from Inverness in the North to Truro in the South-West.
