Pub Overview A planned investment of around £189,000 will transform the Railway Tavern into an attractive community pub with stronger kerb appeal and renewed local presence. What would you do with this pub to make it a success? About the area Located on the high street in Stanford-le-Hope, the Railway Tavern sits close to the railway station with direct C2C services into London and within easy reach of major employers across Thurrock and the Thames Gateway. Around 29,800 adults and residents live within walking distance, creating a strong catchment of commuters, families and working-age professionals. Following refurbishment, the pub will broaden its appeal beyond its predominantly wet-led customer base, re-establishing its drinks offer while introducing sports viewing and entertainment to attract a more diverse audience.
