About the area

The Gun Inn is a large town centre pub in Hyde, positioned on an incredibly busy junction on the route from East Manchester towards Glossop and Sheffield. Around 1,620 adults live within walking distance of the pub, giving the business a strong local community to engage, while its prominent roadside position provides excellent visibility to passing traffic. The existing customer base is predominantly drinks-focused, with a traditional, value-led offer. Following the refurbishment, the pub will be repositioned as a more premium but still accessible community venue, designed to appeal to a broader and more diverse customer base and re-engage local customers who may have lapsed from using the pub.

With only one other pub and two social clubs identified in the local competitive set, there is a strong opportunity for the Gun Inn to rebuild its reputation as a key community venue in the area.
