From port operations to bomb disposals, the work our Royal Logistics Corp Officers do is integral to every operation. Commanding a team of up to 80 soldiers, you'll become an expert in leadership and management, and gain valuable qualifications along the way, such as a Post Graduate Certificate in Conflict and Leadership studies or a BSc (Hons) in Logistics Management. You'll be prepared for everything, from tactical and strategic operations to humanitarian relief operations and military deployments., To qualify, you must be between 17 years 9 months and 28 years and 11 months. You'll need 72 UCAS Points from at least two A-level passes and 35 ALIS points at GCSE (34 for SCEs) from seven GCSE/SCE subjects (including Grade C in English, Maths and a science or a foreign language). You'll also need to pass a basic fitness test.Accepted degree subjects
As an entry-level Officer, you'll start your career in a position of management, commanding responsibility for your team of soldiers. You don't need any experience to apply - through world-class training at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, you'll develop the transferrable leadership skills and qualifications you need to motivate and support your team. Outside the Royal Military Academy, you'll continue to learn and grow through adventurous training and international travel. It's a big responsibility, but it's a chance to do something that makes a difference. If you want to join as a Regular Soldier, you have a lot of options. The Army is the UK's largest apprenticeship provider with over 39 to pick from, ranging from engineering and trades to intelligence and medicine. If you want to build skills and earn civilian qualifications as a soldier, this is the route for you. If you want to learn to lead from the very best, you can become a Regular Officer and start your journey at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. You'll build confidence, learn survival skills, and train to guide your team through tough situations - anywhere in the world. You'll then take charge of a group of soldiers and begin specialist training in your chosen area - like engineering, intelligence, or even flying an Apache helicopter. If you have specialist skills, or want to learn them, you could join the Army as a Professionally Qualified Officer (PQO). There are roles in science, medicine, law and more, where the Army will pay for your civilian training (e.g. university) or offer a lump sum if you've already qualified. You'll then do a role in your field unlike any other in civilian life. Army life is full of exciting opportunities, wherever you join. You could be parachuting in the UK or diving overseas. During your training at Sandhurst, you'll be an Officer Cadet, earning £34,676 a year. As you progress through our ranks, this will rise to £52,815 for a Captain, and £66,240 when you become a Major. You'll also receive 30 days' annual leave every year (plus bank holidays and extra leave after operations), free medical and dental care, cheaper living costs, and free gym and sports facilities.
