Rotational Radiographer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate Band 5 HCPC-registered Radiographer to join our dedicated team of skilled and supportive professionals, helping to deliver high-quality imaging services to women, children, young people, and families across the West Midlands and beyond.

Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is home to one of the busiest specialist radiology services in the country, providing imaging services for approximately 110,000 patients each year. The role offers the opportunity to rotate across both Birmingham Women's Hospital and Birmingham Children's Hospital, gaining experience in a variety of diagnostic imaging areas including General Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Theatre Imaging, Dental Imaging, Mobile Imaging, across paediatric and women's imaging services. This rotational role is designed to support professional development and provide a broad range of clinical experiences across both hospital sites.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering a high-quality, family-centred, and patient-focused diagnostic imaging service, ensuring an excellent experience for women, children, young people, and their families throughout their care journey., As a Rotational Radiographer at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a comprehensive diagnostic imaging service across both hospital sites.

The post holder will undertake a broad range of diagnostic radiographic procedures, ensuring a consistently high standard of clinical practice in accordance with departmental protocols, professional standards, and evidence-based guidelines. You will be responsible for producing and evaluating high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring examinations are performed safely, effectively, and with the patient's needs at the centre of care.

You will be expected to assess, prioritise, and organise your own workload within the clinical area, working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team to support effective patient pathways and service delivery. The role will also involve participation in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development activities to support both personal and departmental development.

Following completion of a comprehensive and supported preceptorship program, the post holder will be required to participate in the departmental out-of-hours service, including on-call and shift working, weekends, and bank holidays, in line with service requirements and rota commitments.
