Full Job Description
An excellent opportunity for either a newly qualified Physiotherapist or those with post qualification experience looking to make a positive step in their career, to join our Physiotherapy service and the wider multidisciplinary teams(MDT). Starting at our Wokingham base you will have the opportunity to rotate between our inpatient, community and MSK services in the West of Berkshire. Within this post you will contribute to the provision of a high-quality Physiotherapy service, responsive to needs of adults with a wide range of conditions the locality. You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment and caseload management for patients, undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, working without direct supervision as required.,
- Clinically you will be working with rehabilitation, medical, palliative, and neurological patients.
- Provide a high standard of physiotherapy for adults living withinWestof Berkshire
- Accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care, ensuring a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management
- Responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, and to organise this effectively and efficientlywith regard toclinical and management priorities and use of time
- Undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies; use clinical reasoning and analytical skills and manual assessment techniques to providean accuratediagnosis of their condition
- Formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy management and treatment programme based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills, treatment skills e.g. manual physiotherapy techniques, patient education, exerciseclassesand other alternative options.
- Evaluate patient progress, continually re-assess and alter treatment programmesin order toprogress treatments effectively
- For those who wish to develop their management skills there is the opportunity to supervise junior staff and students.
