Full Job Description

to plan and deliver effective daily management of the room, in accordance with Willand Pre School's policies and procedures and all relevant legislation governing the sector and Ofsted requirements
To ensure that they provide professional leadership and management to the playroom staff and ensure that they plan and implement stimulating activities based on the children's interest in order to enhance the children's learning, ensuring that all individual educational and developmental needs are met
Promote high standards of quality within the pre school in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
To regularly review, develop and monitor the curriculum and activities available to children to ensure that high standards of childcare/education are maintained

Previous experience in leading sessions and managing staff
Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent
Previous experience of working with young children
Sound knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Knowledge of child protection procedures
Good communication skills and competent IT skills
An understanding of play based approaches to children's learning and development.
