Description Summary
The Risk Technology Platform Team is seeking a skilled C# .NET Developer to join our global team. You will design, develop, and maintain critical risk reporting infrastructure and core components supporting key tools for Risk Managers and business teams. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact, scalable systems, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to deliver innovative, business-driven solutions. You will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, focusing on building robust, high-throughput platforms that empower risk managers to access and analyze data efficiently. We value candidates who excel in fast-paced environments, communicate effectively, and can work independently.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance risk reporting and analytics systems using C# and .NET.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk managers, data engineers, and DevOps, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Implement and enhance systems capable of processing large volumes of data with stringent performance and reliability requirements.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/deployment.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring the stability and scalability of the platform.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear updates and documentation.
- Culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on C# and .NET technologies.
- Proven ability to work independently, taking ownership of requirements from inception through to delivery in a remote/virtual team environment.
- Deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable, performant systems and associated design patterns.
- Experience building and supporting systems that process large datasets quickly and efficiently.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software, with proficiency in automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL and relational/OLAP database design patterns.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Preferred/Desirable Skills
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and columnar databases such as Snowflake.
- Familiarity with load testing APIs, regression testing suites, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), containerization (Kubernetes), and related cloud-native technologies.
- Prior experience in the financial services or risk management domain is a plus.
