RGN / Midwife

We are looking for registered nurse/midwives, qualified in 1st and 2nd trimester ultrasound scanning, in the Midlands area (working 38 hours per week 9.5 hours per day 8am - 6pm 4 days per week with a requirement to work some weekends on a rotational basis) who can deliver safe and effective care of patients wanting to access: consultation for unplanned pregnancy, surgical and medical abortions, contraception and sexual health services., NUPAS provide abortions via medical and surgical routes, and the post holder will be expected to support all areas of the care we provide. The post holder may be expected to provide care in remote services, early medical abortion clinics, ultrasound scanning, contraception, and surgical unit, and training will be provided as required to facilitate this.

To promote, support and deliver safe and efficient abortion and associated services in line with the Abortion Act 1967, Department of Health RSOPs, and medical guidelines across our acute day care treatment centres.

The post holder will have a good understanding of clinical safety and understand the importance of compliance.

The postholder will be proficient in providing appropriate family planning and sexual health care to patients.

The postholder work in line with NUPAS systems, processes, and procedures.

The postholder will provide a seamless patient focused service simultaneously meeting CQC regulations, NUPAS own excellent high standards and vitality the patients' needs.

The post holder will engage with learning identified through the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework.

You will need to be able to fulfil an integral role within our multidisciplinary team delivering a confidential abortion service. You will need to be motivated, enthusiastic, caring and empathetic. Pro-choice is a must.

The post holder has a duty to ensure that the principles of patient, carer and public involvement and engagement are adhered to in line with Section 11 of The Health and Social Care Act 2012 for Improving Patient Experience.
