RF Signature Analyst

This is a full-time on-site role at Dstl Portsdown West, Fareham, where you'll work closely with customers and technical specialists in a highly collaborative environment. How you'll support us + Assess RF signatures using computational modelling and simulation techniques + Modify and prepare CAD models for electromagnetic analysis + Run simulations and analyse results to support technical assessments + Investigate target configurations, materials and signature characteristics + Produce technical reports and customer-facing documentation + Work closely with Dstl analysts and MOD stakeholders to deliver evidence-based recommendations

+ An understanding of radar cross section (RCS) assessment, reduction or design + Experience in computational electromagnetics and/or RF free-space measurements, (e.g. RCS, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), antenna testing, or similar) + Data analysis and interpretation of complex datasets + Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks or RhinoCAD + STEM degree It would be great if you also have: + Understanding of Linux environments and High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems, including Slurm + Understanding of advanced combat air, weapons or UAS (Uncrewed Air Systems) capabilities + Experience within the defence sector and/or an understanding of survivability concepts and threat detection, tracking and engagement Our non-negotiables Due to the highly secure nature of the projects that you will be involved with, you must be: + A UK National and eligible to work in the UK + Eligible to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Check (SC) level security clearance
