Full Job Description
Trafford Council are looking to recruit a Revenues Officer within the Exchequer Services department. The role sits within the Business Rates Team who are responsible for billing, collection and recovering monies owed to the Council in respect of business rates., Your style and approach will reflect our values and behaviours: you will be committed to continually learning & improving the way you do things to ensure effective outcomes; valuing and respecting others' contribution, you will work together to deliver service; you will take ownership of your actions and strive to getting things right first time and learn from when things do go wrong; you will enjoy taking personal responsibility to resolve issues and change what you do and how you do it to make a difference. You will also keep up to date with the relevant regulations, policy and legislation.
The successful candidate will have experience in similar roles or a financial background as per the role profile which is attached. An understanding of business rates would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
