The Role
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of stock counters to deliver accurate, efficient and professional stocktaking services across a range of retail and commercial customer sites. You will take ownership of the stocktake from arrival through to completion, ensuring that company and customer procedures are followed, deadlines are met, and the highest standards of accuracy, productivity, and customer service are maintained. This is a mobile and hands-on role, requiring travel to different locations each day. Flexibility regarding working hours and locations is essential, and overnight stays may sometimes be necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and support stocktaking teams on customer sites.
- Ensure stocktakes are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
- Monitor team productivity and take appropriate action if performance falls below expectations.
- Ensure all company and customer processes, procedures, and health & safety requirements are followed.
- Maintain a professional approach and deliver excellent customer service.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer representatives on site.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customer management.
- Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, escalating where appropriate.
- Ensure team members understand their responsibilities and maintain standards of conduct and performance.
- Complete all required stocktake administration, reporting, and sign-off accurately.
- Work flexibly across different locations and adapt to operational needs.

- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively.
- Previous experience of supervising or leading a team is desirable.

- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic IT skills and confidence using digital systems.

Working Environment
The role involves working across various retail stores, warehouses, and other customer locations. Adaptability to different environments is required. Evening, night, and early-morning shifts, including weekends, are part of the schedule, with possible overnight stays.
