Retail Security OfficerLocation: LIDL BromsgroveHours: 5 days a week including weekend work Pay: Competitive Rate, About the RoleWe are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at LIDL Bromsgrove. This is a key role in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while protecting company assets and reducing losses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a visible security presence, preventing theft and anti-social behaviour, responding to incidents, and supporting the store team in providing an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

-Maintaining a professional and visible presence throughout the store.

-Deterring theft, stock loss, and anti-social behaviour.

-Conducting regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas.

-Responding effectively to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.

-Producing accurate and detailed incident reports.

-Working closely with store management and colleagues to support day-to-day operations.

-Delivering excellent customer service and assisting customers when required.

-Monitoring security systems and CCTV in accordance with company procedures.

-Escalating issues and concerns appropriately., What We're Looking ForWe are looking for a proactive security professional who understands that modern retail security is about more than loss prevention. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and store colleagues while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Previous security experience within a retail environment.

-Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.

-Strong understanding of retail loss prevention and conflict management.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Professional appearance and confident approach to customer interaction.

-Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.

-Strong observation skills with attention to detail.

-Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently.

Technical SkillsThe successful candidate must be comfortable using technology and digital reporting systems, including:

-Completing incident reports using online reporting platforms.

-Using mobile devices, tablets, and security applications.

-Recording accurate evidence and report details electronically.
