Full Job Description

We are looking for a Retail Operations and Performance Manager to lead operational excellence and continuous improvement across our retail estate. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring our stores operate efficiently, commercially, and consistently, enabling our teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maximising sales, productivity, and profitability. Working in close partnership with our stores, field leadership teams, and Head Office functions, you'll use performance insights, regular store visits, and cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve ways of working, and remove barriers to success. You'll lead the implementation of new initiatives, embed sustainable improvements, and build capability across the retail estate to drive consistency, reduce stock loss, strengthen execution, and create a high-performing retail operation. What will you do as Retail Operations and Performance Manager? Performance and Insight

  • Own the weekly and monthly performance reporting, analysing product and commercial data to identify trends, opportunities and risks, translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations for field teams and stores.
  • Operational Excellence and Improvement
  • Lead initiatives to simplify and improve store processes
  • Identifies inefficiencies across stores and drives improvements across the estate.
  • Oversee stock loss reduction initiatives and operational controls
  • Change and implementation
  • Lead the rollout of new ways of working across stores, ensure teams are engaged, change is clear, prioritised and embedded effectively.
  • Store Engagement and Field Collaboration
  • Regular store visits to assess operations and identify opportunities
  • Work in partnership with field retail team to support and challenge field to drive execution and results.
  • Leadership
  • Lead, coach and develop the Retail Operations team, setting clear priorities, direction and performance standards while building capability, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with head office functions to support in delivering operational plans, act as a link between head office and stores.

    Excellent communication skills at all levels - written and verbal.
  • The ability to work to strict deadlines and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and managerial skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to business requirements.
  • Demonstrates a 'can do' attitude to achieve goals
  • Experience in multi-site retail operations or field leadership
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret performance data and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Proven ability to drive operational improvements and implement change across stores
  • Experience simplifying processes and improving ways of working
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing teams
  • Comfortable visiting stores regularly and identifying opportunities first hand.
  • Desired
  • Experience leading operational change
  • Understanding of stock loss prevention and operational compliance
  • Exposure to retail training
  • Experience working cross functionally
  • Advanced excel knowledge
