To arrange an informal conversation or in case of any other queries, please contact [email protected] Interview process Interviews will be held via MS Teams. + 1st stage interviews will be held 4th December 2026 + 2nd stage interviews will be held 14th December 2026 Terms of appointment + This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses will be met. + The appointment is for an initial three-year term, renewable for a second term, subject to approval and continued contribution. + The Retail Committee meets four times per year: two full-day in-person meetings (March and September) and two three-hour online meetings (June and December) + The Remuneration & People Committee normally meets twice per year, with meetings generally lasting two to three hours + Overall expected commitment of approximately 1-2 days per quarter. + Members are expected to prepare thoroughly for discussions, take part in induction and keep up to date with developments across BHF Retail and the wider people agenda

  + Bring substantial current or recent senior-level experience within a retail organisation, with direct insight into retail strategy, operations, customer trends and the wider retail landscape.
+ Have significant executive-level accountability for people, culture, organisational change and workforce strategy, ideally within a large and complex organisation. + A strong track record of shaping and leading workforce strategy, organisational and transformational change, culture, talent, reward, employee relations, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and employee engagement, ideally across a large and dispersed workforce + Relevant experience in a substantial retail or consumer-facing organisation, with an understanding of the people implications of commercial strategy and operational delivery Able to contribute strategically and constructively, offering independent insight and challenge in a non-executive committee environment, you'll share our commitment to BHF's mission and values and bring the passion and expertise to help us transform even more lives.

This joint role reflects the vital relationship between our retail and people priorities. As a member of both Committees, you'll help ensure that our retail transformation, people strategy and organisational development remain aligned to BHF's mission and long-term ambitions.
