Retail Assistants

An exciting new SPAR store is opening soon, and we're looking for enthusiastic people to join our opening team! Our brand-new store will offer everything our customers know and love from SPAR, alongside an exciting Food to Go offering and a convenient Post Office Local service. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand-new team and help create an outstanding experience for our customers from day one. We're currently recruiting for a variety of roles, including:

• Supervisors
• Multi-Skilled Retail Assistants
• Retail Assistants
• Food to Go Assistants
Whatever your experience, there's an opportunity to be part of something new from day one. Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing Depending on the role, you could be:
• Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming shopping experience.
• Preparing hot food and food-to-go products to the highest standards.
• Ensuring our Food to Go area is well stocked, clean and attractively presented throughout the day.
• Providing Post Office Local services, assisting customers with a range of everyday transactions.
• Operating tills and handling customer transactions accurately.
• Replenishing stock and ensuring shelves, counters and displays are fully stocked and well presented.
• Maintaining excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety.
• Supporting with deliveries, stock rotation and reducing waste.
• Leading, coaching and motivating colleagues to deliver exceptional service (Supervisor and Deli Supervisor roles).
• Supporting the day-to-day operation of the store and helping maintain high standards across every department.

• Comfortable learning new systems and processes, including Post Office procedures where applicable.
For our Supervisor roles, previous leadership experience within retail or food service would be an advantage. Previous experience in retail, food preparation or customer service is beneficial for our assistant roles, but isn't essential as full training will be provided, including specialist training for colleagues working within our Food to Go and Post Office Local areas.
