Full Job Description
St Luke's Hospice is seeking an experienced and inspirational Retail Area Manager to lead and develop a portfolio of charity shops and retail premises. The successful candidate will be a commercially focused leader with significant multi-site retail management experience, responsible for maximising sales, profitability and operational performance across the retail division while supporting the Hospice's mission and values. The role requires strong leadership, excellent people management skills, and the ability to drive positive change and continuous improvement., Lead, coach and support Shop Managers, Deputy Managers and volunteer teams to achieve sales and performance targets. Drive income generation, profitability, Gift Aid performance and operational excellence across multiple retail sites. Monitor and analyse sales, budgets and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Ensure high standards of customer service, visual merchandising, shop presentation and stock management. Manage recruitment, induction, training, appraisal and performance processes in line with organisational policies. Ensure compliance with health and safety, security, financial and retail operating procedures. Support the delivery of the Retail Strategy and identify innovative opportunities to develop and strengthen the retail operation.
