Full Job Description
The post holder will serve as a key member of the Resuscitation Service, providing Resuscitation training and will be a knowledge expert on resuscitation and the management of deterioration. The post holder will support the education, professional development and education and training needs of staff concerning resuscitation and management of deterioration of clinical staff across Hampshire and IOW NHSFT, and where appropriate, external organisations/Families. They will work closely with the senior Divisional Resuscitation Officers/Educators providing: BLS ILS (Adult & Paediatric) DILS In Service Simulation Debrief support Family Training related to BLS Specialised advice and support to the organisation related to the management of deterioration and resuscitation, Managed by a Senior Divisional Resuscitation Officer/ Educator, the postholder will have responsibility for:
- In conjunction with the Senior Resuscitation Officer/ Educator, designs, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates identified training programmes related to resuscitation to ensure a consistent approach is achieved and that continuous improvements take place in line with changes in research and national guidelines.
- Contribute to the content and design of the management of deterioration training delivered by the clinical training team (Physical Health)
- Contributes to the design and delivery of in-service simulation training
- Act as a specialised resource for services on resuscitation and management of deterioration.
- Assist in the development and implementation of relevant educational resources that are evidence-based on the development hub.
- Maintain own competence, confidence and expertise related to the area of speciality (Resuscitation and the Management of Deterioration) through Continuing professional development.
- Act as a positive role model when training and within the clinical environment.
- Maintain in date certification of the Resuscitation Council (UK) Advanced Life Support Course.
- Work within the Resuscitation Council UK most up to date Quality and Standards and Resuscitation Guidelines
