Restore Nature Delivery Manager - Dorking, We're seeking an Interim Restore Nature Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of nature restoration across the Surrey Hills property group. This role is central to achieving our ambition to restore nature at scale. You'll work closely with the General Manager, Countryside teams, specialists, partners and local communities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop strategic leadership skills. You'll coordinate multidisciplinary teams, alongside key partners, to deliver impactful, inclusive and sustainable nature recovery. You'll be a strong communicator and a passionate advocate for nature. This role could be available as a secondment opportunity - in discussion with your line manager. #LI-DNI What it's like to work here Reporting to the General Manager, you'll lead and develop nature restoration plans for Surrey Hills, championing good practice and inspiring teams across the property. Flexibility is key, as weekend work will be required as part of the wider team working. Surrey Hills is a large countryside portfolio covering 5,200 hectares across Surrey, within 20 minutes of the South London outskirts. Around 3,000 hectares are protected landscapes, including heathland, chalk downland and ancient woodland. Collaborating with tenant farmers, statutory agencies and local communities is vital to our nature recovery mission. The property group includes iconic National Trust sites such as Box Hill, Leith Hill, The Devil's Punchbowl, Denbies Hillside and Ranmore Common-some of the busiest and most valued landscapes in the South East. These sites offer huge opportunities to improve biodiversity and enhance public benefit. What you'll be doing You'll lead and coordinate the delivery of nature restoration projects across the Surrey Hills, ensuring they align with our strategic plan. As a member of the property leadership team, you will guide a large countryside team, promote collaboration, integrate specialist expertise and evolve delivery approaches. You'll manage risk, compliance, and performance, ensuring all work meets agreed standards for quality, cost and timing. You'll also influence partners and stakeholders, support funding opportunities and help drive change that enables nature recovery at landscape scale.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Leadership ability to motivate teams and drive landscape-scale nature recovery.
  • Ecological or land management expertise, with the ability to apply technical knowledge to practical restoration.
  • Experience in countryside management or projects, including strong communication and team coordination skills.
  • Strong partnership skills, able to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Financial awareness and experience managing budgets to achieve strategic outcomes.
