Full Job Description
Applications are invited for consultants with a special interest in respiratory medicine to join an existing team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The DCC work will include the assessment and management of patients with a range of respiratory disease within in-patient and out-patient settings, general medical on call and clinical administration associated with this., The post holder will have personal responsibility for the care of general and specialist respiratory inpatients and outpatients, and an equal share in acute unselected medical take. They will take responsibility for supervision of those doctors to whom the care is delegated, working within the multi-professional respiratory team, and working to maintain the friendly collaborative culture of this team.
Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.
Established in 2005, we were one of the first foundation trusts in the country and since then have consistently achieved the highest levels of care for patients.
