Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and forward thinking Resource Base Manager to lead the development, implementation and day to day running of this new provision. This role offers the chance to help design something meaningful from the ground up, creating a calm, highly skilled and inclusive environment where students with complex needs can thrive. The Resource Base will support students with Autism(ASD), speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), and emotional based school avoidance (EBSA). You will work closely with senior leaders, families, external professionals and specialist teams to ensure provision is personalised, trauma informed and responsive to students' individual needs. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive education, confident in managing complexity, and motivated by the opportunity to build and lead a specialist provision from its very beginning. In return, you'll be part of a supportive, values driven school community, with the opportunity to make a lasting and meaningful impact on students, families, and staff. If you are someone who thrives on innovation, believes in relational practice, and wants to be at the forefront of specialist provision development, we would love to hear from you. About you: You will:

  • Have strong expertise in autism and neurodiversity
  • A clear understanding of speech, language and communication difficulties
  • Experience supporting students with emotional-based school avoidance
  • The ability to lead, develop and inspire a skilled staff team
  • Confidence in designing structured, nurturing provision while maintaining high aspirations

Hans Price Academy is a forward-thinking secondary school located in Weston-Super-Mare. Hans Price children are excited to learn and are real ambassadors for our increasingly diverse community. They benefit from a hugely positive and supportive learning environment housed in excellent, modern facilities.
  • At Hans Price we believe that at the heart of our students' learning experience is the quality of what we deliver, and we continually strive to provide excellent opportunities in a broad range of subjects and extra-curricular settings. Fulfilment of individual potential is at the very heart of what we hope to achieve and development of students' wider character alongside high academic expectations is something we feel very strongly about. Why work at CLF? We are a diverse and inclusive community of 36 academies across five cluster regions in the South West that is committed to excellence and making a positive impact. Our people bring unique perspectives, but we're all driven by a shared moral purpose and a passion for making a positive impact, whether in a teaching, leadership or support role. We're proud to foster a culture where everyone can thrive, feel valued, and make a meaningful difference to the lives of others. We are an equal opportunity employer and proud to serve a diverse student population and our communities. We strongly believe that representation matters. We particularly encourage applicants from those groups in order to represent the students we serve, as well as wider underrepresented groups including gender, transgender, age disability, sexual orientation or religion.

We aim to remove any barriers to employment, ensuring everyone can compete on equal terms. Job share, part-time and flexible working opportunities will be considered. What we can offer you:
  • Access to a generous pension through the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
  • Generous annual leave.
  • A comprehensive induction and ongoing commitment to wellbeing and career progression, through a range of training, apprenticeships and in-role/wider-trust development opportunities.
