Full Job Description
You'll be a role model and mentor and play a key part in the support system for children who are unable to remain with families. You'll play a vital role in supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential in all areas of their life, also for them to have aspiration for their own future, to enable them to engage positively in the community.
We'll look to you to:
Advocate on behalf of children, also be positive role model.
Think creatively about - and contribute to - effective care planning.
Provide appropriate therapeutic relationships with the children.
Provide a safe, nurturing and homely environment, for children to feel safe and secured, to enable them to thrive.
Undertaken appropriate training and development to meet the needs of the children, also to be compliant with legalisations.
What's more, we're deeply invested in your professional growth and development. As part of your role, you will complete a fully accredited and funded Diploma for residential care level 3 / 4 if you don't already hold appropriate qualification, in line with legalisation.
We're looking for someone who embodies resilience, empathy, and a deep commitment to making a positive impact. Someone who can believe in the untapped potential of these children when others have given up. Drawing on your life experiences, you can provide valuable guidance and support to help them thrive. You'll also need:
Staff will work towards or hold the recognised NVQ 4 or QCF diploma in working with children and young people in Residential care, or equivalent relevant Children's Residential work.
Desire to undertake further education / training.
A valid and full UK driving licence.
