Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join our internal residential service. Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and mental health challenges? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join our dynamic team at our children's home.
At our children's home, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where children with EBD and mental health challenges receive the support and care they need to thrive. Our team is committed to empowering each child to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential in a supportive and caring atmosphere.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day care and support to our children, helping them to develop essential life skills, manage their emotions, and build positive relationships. You will work as part of a dedicated team to create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, loved, respected, and supported.
You will be passionate about caring for children, you will be resilient, enthusiastic and bring fun to the direct support to children. You will have a solution-focused, positive attitude and hold an appropriate qualification or be willing to complete this within 18 months. You will be committed to continuing professional development, learning, and working as a team.
You will be flexible in your approach and will be required to work evenings, weekends on a rota basis.
You must have enthusiasm for working with children in a residential setting or supporting children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties and mental health challenges. You will have a compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children.
