Full Job Description
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in their daily lives?, We are currently recruiting for a Personal Care Assistant to join an SEN school in Oldham from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is caring, patient, and committed to supporting pupils with a range of complex needs. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team, providing personal care and daily support to pupils, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and feel comfortable and supported throughout the school day. The role will include:
- Providing personal care support to pupils where required
- Supporting pupils with their individual needs and routines
- Working closely with teachers and support staff
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment
Previous experience working within an SEN, care, or support setting - A caring and compassionate approach
- Confidence supporting children with personal care needs
- The ability to work as part of a wider team
- A patient and positive attitude This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (child and adult workforce), satisfactory references, and full compliance with KCSIE 2025 guidance and safer recruitment standards. Overseas police checks may be required where applicable.
