Job Description

This well-established Legal 100 firm has a thriving retirement living practice that's genuinely busy. The work is fast-paced, high-volume, and often involves dual transactions (client selling their home, buying into retirement living).

They don't need you to have retirement living experience. They need someone who's solid at residential conveyancing, communicates brilliantly, and is willing to learn a specialist niche with full training provided.

The Work

• Handle your own caseload of residential conveyancing, with a focus on the retirement living sector once trained:




• Sales and purchases (freehold and leasehold)


• Re-mortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions


• Often acting on both sides of a move (existing property sale + retirement property purchase)


• Time-sensitive transactions where communication and organisation are critical

The client demographic skews older, so excellent telephone manner and the ability to explain legal complexities clearly are essential.

About You

• 1 to 5 years PQE as a Residential Conveyancer (Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer)


• Strong residential conveyancing foundation


• First-class communication and client care skills


• Good time management (this work moves quickly)


• Comfortable with Excel, case management systems, and hitting financial targets


• Willing to specialise in retirement living with full support and training
