Residential Care Officer Level 2

Previous experience within a care profession is desirable for this role, with a good understanding of trauma informed practice and child development. Our children can present with behaviours that challenge and it is important that you are compassionate, have excellent communication skills, with a calm professional demeanour. You will need to have intermediate IT skills, be able to adapt to different situations and have the motivation to provide the very best care for our children at all times. You will be joining a successful and experienced team, and we will provide you with the training and support required to develop into this role. You will be required to complete a Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma., · Caring and Playful Demeanour: Children are full of energy and love to explore and play. · Kindness and Compassion: Essential for creating a secure, nurturing environment. · Passion for welfare: An advocate for children's well-being. · Boundary Settings: Establishing boundaries, gently but firmly. ·Qualifications and Skills: Basic IT skills and knowledge / experience of the caring profession, along with a willingness to obtain a QCF qualification in working with children. A driving licence is desirable, however not essential., In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016(Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provideadvice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
