- Provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for residential students
- Supervise accommodation areas and promote positive behaviour
- Support student wellbeing and pastoral needs
- Respond appropriately to incidents and safeguarding concerns
- Carry out regular checks of residential areas
- Encourage students to develop independence and life skills
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and relevant activities
- Work with safeguarding, pastoral, and wider College teams
- Follow College procedures relating to safeguarding, health and safety and student welfare, This is an opportunity to move your existing skills into a rewarding educational environment where you can make a real difference. - Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Experience in a residential, youth work, education, care, hospitality, security, or people-focused environment
- An understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm and consistent approach when dealing with challenging situations
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and reliability
- A genuine commitment to supporting young people
