Resident Manager

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on hospitality leader to join The Hide Hotel as our Resident Manager. Reporting to the Head of Operations Derbyshire, Estate Escapes, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the hotel, leading Heads of Department and their teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences, strong commercial performance, and consistently high service standards. This is a key leadership role requiring a visible presence across the operation, a passion for people development, and a commitment to excellence.,

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring high standards across accommodation, food, beverage, and guest experience.
• Develop, coach, and support Heads of Department and Supervisors to achieve operational and financial targets.
• Drive profitability through effective cost control, workforce planning, and identification of sales opportunities.
• Monitor financial performance, contribute to budgeting processes, and support business improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and brand standards.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and development to build a highly engaged and high-performing team.
• Work collaboratively to support ongoing hotel improvements and renovation projects.
• Champion exceptional customer service, responding proactively to guest feedback and resolving issues effectively.
  
  Significant experience in General Hotel Management or a senior hotel operations role.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and financial performance.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire teams.
• A systems-driven approach and confidence using hospitality management technology.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
