Researcher in Genomic Discovery from Wearables
Grade 7: £39,424 - £47,779 per annum including Oxford Weighting Allowance
Oxford Population Health (the Nuffield Department of Population Health) provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching and for professional and support staff. We work together to answer some of the most important questions about the causes, prevention and treatment of disease.
We are looking for a researcher to lead genome-wide association studies of wearable-derived phenotypes across large-scale population biobanks. You will be an integral member of the wearables group based at Oxford, led by Aiden Doherty. Our research team has access to world-leading population health data sets with objective wearable sensor measurements of sleep and physical activity linked to clinical and genomic data.
Applicants should hold, or be close to completion of a DPhil/PhD in population health or a closely related field. Possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes and have ability to manage own academic research and associated activities.
This is a full time, fixed term post (part time considered) until 31 March 2027
