Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Research Delivery Network North West's Agile Research Delivery Team (ARDT), supporting high-quality health and care research across Lancashire and South Cumbria. This role offers the opportunity to work flexibly across a variety of settings, including hospitals, GP practices, dental clinics, community locations such as schools, domiciliary care services, and residential environments including care homes and prisons.

As part of the ARDT, you will support the delivery of NIHR portfolio studies across multiple clinical specialties. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, research staff, and partner organisations to ensure studies are delivered efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include identifying and recruiting participants, supporting the informed consent process, assisting with study procedures, and ensuring accurate data collection.

This role is ideal for a nurse interested in clinical research and developing skills across diverse care settings. You will contribute to research that improves patient outcomes and healthcare services. Flexibility, strong communication, and organisational skills are essential. Please note this role is based in Lancashire and South Cumbria, and living locally is advantageous., The post holder will work as part of the Agile Research Delivery Team to support the delivery of NIHR portfolio studies across Greater Manchester and the North West., Supporting the delivery of clinical research studies in accordance with study protocols, regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Identifying and recruiting suitable patients and participants into research studies.

Supporting the informed consent process in line with ethical and regulatory standards.

Assisting with research-related procedures including data collection, sample collection and participant follow-up.

Maintaining accurate research documentation and study records.

Working collaboratively with research teams, clinical staff and partner organisations to support effective study delivery.

Supporting participant safety, dignity and confidentiality throughout the research process.

Contributing to screening, recruitment and retention of study participants.

Escalating issues or risks relating to study delivery to senior research staff when required.

Supporting the coordination and organisation of research activities across multiple sites.
