As Research, Impact & Management Support Officer in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Cultures, based in The School of Design you will work closely with the Research Manager and Directors of Leeds Institute of Textiles and Colour (LITAC), with a focus on ensuring operational effectiveness, informed by the School and Faculty strategy, and the University strategy and KPIs. You will be part of the School and Faculty MASS (Management Administration Support Service) team as well as a wider Operations team in the University, seeking to continually improve and develop approaches to research and impact support across this large and diverse organisation. You will be joining a warm, welcoming team of like-minded colleagues who are committed to learning, developing and growing as a service. This in turn brings the opportunity to contribute towards Faculty strategic initiatives.
This exciting, diverse role will give you the opportunity to promote a successful research culture through provide comprehensive research support, including administering research support processes, supporting research projects and facilitating research related meetings, ensuring research support processes are aligned with Faculty, School and Research Institute strategic objectives. You will play a key role in ensuring effective partnership working with the Professional Services and wider Research Support Teams across the Faculty and University, including HR, Purchasing, Finance, Research and Innovation Services (RIS) and Faculty Research and Innovation Offices (FRIO), amongst others, ensuring that processes are carried out effectively.
With experience of providing high level operational support and up to date knowledge of the Research Excellence Framework (REF), you will have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels. You will have the ability to handle problems efficiently and professionally, using your initiative to find solutions and lead on process improvements. In addition, you will have the ability to communicate effectively and work flexibly as part of a team, with strong organisation and prioritisation skills. You will have experience in collecting and analysing data with an excellent attention to detail.
