  • The Research and Finance Officer is a key role within the Division's professional services department, with responsibility for delivering an efficient and effective research administration service and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance support. The postholder will have responsibility for supporting academics to cost and prepare applications for research funding; ensuring that the financial return for the Division is maximised; advising academics on internal and external funding opportunities and providing post-award management of grants. The postholder will also support the Division's routine financial processes as well as our work on budgeting and forecasting. This role is eligible for hybrid working, with an expectation of at least 40% on site. This appointment is subject to UCL Terms and Conditions of Service for Research and Professional Services Staff.     We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, finance-loving professional to join our team with significant experience in supporting grant and finance administration. You will have a good understanding and experience of research grant processes (both pre and post award) and the proven ability to support the preparation and delivery of successful research funding applications including using Worktribe. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in the use of Axiom and MyFinance. You will support varied financial operations so the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining close attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
