Full Job Description

This post will play an integral role in building the ProPASS infrastructure, including developing analytical platforms and contributing to scientific analyses on prospective outcomes. We are particularly interested in applicants with background in epidemiology and extensive experience in using R. Role specific details (please delete as appropriate):

  • This role is available from 1st June 2026 until 31 May 2028 in the first instance.

    Higher academic degree e.g. PhD, or evidence of an equivalent level of attainment in research publications
  • Post-doctoral research experience in academia or industry
  • A track record of internationally excellent scholarly publication in the field of epidemiology / data science
  • Experience of working with diverse stakeholders, including external collaborators
  • Specific areas of experience:
  • -Expertise in the fields of epidemiology and data science - Experience of using chronic disease outcomes, especially cancer - Experience of using large scale population cohort data - Experience in pooling/harmonising a series of different cohort studies using individual participant meta-analysis approach - Expertise writing script in R Knowledge of accelerometery techniques to assess physical activity, sitting and sleep
