Full Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Associate in Metabolomics to join an exciting interdisciplinary project investigating tuberculosis through archaeological science. This role forms part of the TB-Omics project, which explores diagnostic tools for tuberculosis infection using modern and archaeological skeletal remains. You will play a key role in analysing metabolomic data to identify biomarkers and better understand disease processes, contributing to innovative One Health approaches to global health challenges. As a Research Associate, you will:

  • Analyse metabolomic data from archaeological and modern bone samples
  • Apply statistical modelling and data visualisation techniques
  • Integrate metabolomics data within biological and archaeological frameworks
  • Contribute to the design and development of research methods and analytical approaches
  • Maintain high-quality data documentation, ensuring traceability and reproducibility
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance the research programme
  • Support mentoring and development of students and early career researchers
