Full Job Description

Are you an early career researcher looking for your first challenge? Do you have a background in qualitative research methods and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK's leading research intensive Universities?
The Whitehouse research group is seeking a highly motivated research assistant to investigate how the human tumour virus, Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV), manipulates host cell pathways to enhance its own replication. The project will use a range of molecular, cell biology and cell imaging approaches to highlight novel KSHV-mediated mechanisms to regulate viral gene expression.
For this role, you should have a first degree/Masters in Molecular Cell Biology/Virology or a closely allied discipline. You should also have experience in mammalian cell culture, RNA-based and molecular biology techniques.
