Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an interdisciplinary UCL Grand Challenges-funded project, "Decarbonising transport: bridging the gap between behavioural and political science", led by Dr Clemence Cavoli (Centre for Transport Studies/PEARL) and Dr Vivi Antonopoulou (Centre for Behaviour Change). Key requirements of the role are:

  • Support an online survey and semi-structured interviews with UK transport policymakers, and contribute to behavioural systems mapping and analysis (e.g. using COM-B).
  • Help co-design and deliver a pilot suite of behaviour-change interventions for transport policymakers at UCL's PEARL Lab.
  • Contribute to project outputs, including a diagnostic report, policy brief and academic publications, and support preparation of a follow-on funding application.

    Key requirements of the role are:
  • An MSc in Behaviour Change, Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Experience of applying behaviour change theories or frameworks (e.g. COM-B, the Behaviour Change Wheel) in an environmental or transport-related context.
  • Experience of conducting qualitative and/or quantitative social research, such as surveys and semi-structured interviews.
  • A working knowledge of the UK transport policy and climate governance landscape.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and manage own workload independently while working predominantly remotely.
